CASA 44

Casa 44 is a Casa Antigua, one of the oldest, most unique properties in Alhaurin El Grande. Once two houses and stables, we have transformed the property as sympathetically as possible, enhancing the traditonal features but adding a quirky contemporary twist. This is a property borne of love and we have a great affection for our town.

The extraordinary front door is one of two carved over 100 years ago by a local carpenter, whose family still live and work in the town. Our elderly neighbour opposite was actually born in what is now our kitchen. The stories and history are tangible and heart-warming.

Alongside the two suites (situated at opposite ends of the courtyard) there is a sun filled dining room where breakfast is served, an honesty bar, courtyard (also a gorgeous setting for breakfast and drinks) and stunning roof terrace with 180 degree views over the Guadalahorce Valley and Sierra Nieves and Sierra de Mijas mountains.

Ample public space allows privacy for our guests as well as space to socialise, should the mood take you. Guests are most often overwhelmed by the Terrace and ever changing landscape and while away the lazy afternoons with a sundowner or two captivated by the warmth and authenticity of our wonderful town.

All the rooms have been designed to be as economical and efficient as possible, with state of the art water boilers, air conditioning and Fibre optic Wifi is available throughout.

We live on site in an annex that was the old stables, hidden from view but available and present. Our contact mobile is always on. We have two elderly dogs (that still think they are puppies). The dogs don't come into the public space unless expressly invited but do adore human interaction.
